Mould Release Agents

Mould release agents like silicone mould release agents, release coatings, release coating emulsions etc., are special types of lubricants that are applied to mold surfaces for assisting in the release of molded article. Certain characteristics which add to the excellent features of our Mould Release Agents are anti stick characteristics, parting agent, mold wash, mold lubricant and others.

Silicone Based Mould Release Agents

R-202/R-255/R-355/R-605/ER-40: Mould Release is an easy to use Silicons emulsion (i.e. milky white emulsion of Dimethyl Polysiloxane fluid). It is used as mould release agent and shining agent for tyre, rubber, and plastic industries. It is atso used in High-speed offset printing process.

In the plywood manufacturing industry, it prevents build up of glue and promotes easy removal of excess glue on platens and other parts of the presses used. In lamination and wood industry it is used as antitack material to the platens. It is used in glass industry for conveying equipments, treating moulds, moulded glass articles.

Special Features:

• Being an aqueous emulsion it is easy to handle & apply.
• Good freeze thaw stability, with no creaming or severe oiling
• Good dilution stability, so that optimum concentration of silicone can be used with no excess waste
• Gives excellent finish to the mould.
• Easily applied by brushing, dipping or spraying, even for complex moulds.
• Low surface tension and easy wetting properties on the mould surface.
• Highly economical - very small quantity required per release.
• The film formed is durable and heat stable.
• Imparts excellent shine & gloss to the moulded article.
• Chemically inert - does not attack mould or moulding substances.
• Low volatility- no fuming or smoking occurs.
• It is non-toxic and does not give rise to fumes.
• Product viscosity can be adjusted to suit customer specifications.
• EVA Release, a low surfactant product with a minimum mould residue.
